MySQL: OpenTransaction() won't use passed transaction handle
In a rather odd setup, I have a MySQL server with two applications talking to it through a common transaction with an Application A which calls begin and and application B that calls commit.
When I call commit on application B, it triggers a rollback on Application A which causes all following transactions on application A to be aborted. This is a rather nice behavior, but on application B, the begin transaction is still active and when I call commit on it, I get a duplicate key error.
Here is a simplified snippet of the code I'm using:
